PP-g-MAH-2

PP-g-MAH-2 is produced by grafting homopolymer of PP (polypropylene) with maleic anhydride in the extruder.

Description:  

PP-g-MAH-2 is produced by grafting homopolymer of PP (polypropylene) with maleic anhydride in the extruder. Because of the introduction of strong polar side groups to the non-polar main polymer chain, PP-g-MAH-2 can become the  bridge to link polar materials with nonpolar ones. When producing filling polypropylene, adding PP-g-MAH-2 can greatly improve the the compatibility and dispersion of the filling. The improvement of the dispersion in the polypropylene can lead to the the tensile and impact strength of the filling polypropylene.

The typical appliance of PP-g-MAH-2:

(1)   The coupling agent between inorganic reinforcing material (fibre glass), filling(calcium carbonate, talc powder,etc) and polypropylene.

(2)   The compatibilizer of polypropylene/nilon copmposite;

(3)   The increasement of bonding strength between polypropylene and  polar materials(metal, nilon etc.).

Usage:

PP-g-MAH-2 has high graft ratio of maleic anhydride and very light color, which is specially suitable when the final product is asked to be light-colored. On average, the added amount is 1-5%. The specific amount depends on the users demand on the quality of the product and the applied system. To achieve the optimum result, the processing facility and technology should make sure that the PP-g-MAH-2 can disperse well in the system.

Packaging:

In 25kg kraft bags lined with PP. Stored in shady, cool and dry places.
